Aussie Idol cast of Dean Geyer is giving it a go with a new track, "If You Don't Mean It". When I was first told Dean was releasing a disc I was a little skeptical. He wasn't my favourite contestant on the reality show but I was really taken aback at how much I really liked his first single.
Another song from Rihanna's upcoming LP, "Good Girl Gone Bad", has leaked. The track is called "First Time" and it is, at the moment, my favourite track from the new album. Great R'nB track with a catchy beat and chorus.

Beyonce re-released her latest album B'Day recently with bonus tracks, just for her biggest fans, you know, the ones who bought it the first time around, and has found herself in a spot of hot water after she included a track most of her fans would be too young to remember, 'Still In Love (I'm Kissing You)'.The track was originally recorded by British R&B singer Des`ree and titled simply 'I'm Kissing You' for the 1996, Baz Luhrmann film, Romeo & Juilet.
Des`ree was reportedly none too happy with Beyonce's recording and video to the song and has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan's Federal Court seeking to stop distribution of the song and $150,000 in damages.
TMZ reports that originally the two parties attempted to negotiate an agreement but Beyonce's people weren't happy with stipulations that included no video is to be recorded and the name of the song must not be changed.
Just to reiterate, Beyonce changed the name of the song and filmed a video for the song.

There has been a lot of speculation as to which track Hilary Duff will release as her third single from her album Dignity. People have said Stranger, which is my personal favourite, while others claim it's Gypsy Woman. I stumbled across this article which outlined that Stranger will in fact be the third single.

Andrea Corr, Lead singer of the highly successful Irish band The Corrs, has come out with a solo track called "Hello Boy". This track was a huge surprise, it is incredibly different to what she's best known for. Give it a crack and let me know what you think. I for one can't wait for her debut solo album.
It has been said that the recently leaked track "When the Cats Away" is the new single from Kylie Minogue's latest upcoming release, but I have my doubts. Single or not, this track is a lot of fun. The lyrics are catchy and it has a really funky electronic beat. Let me know what you guys think.
Alicia Keys has pushed back the release date of her third studio album from June 07 to October 07 reports NY Daily News. Spokesperson for Ms Keys has said the official reason given was that there were “Scheduling conflicts” with her ever-growing acting career. Rumour has it; another reason for the delay could be that the singer is unhappy with the promotions situation at her label, "J records". Ken Wilson, the promotions director Ms. Keys 'trusted and relied on' was fired from the Clive Davis owned label.

The album was delayed multiple times, first scheduled for summer 2006, then fall 2006, then early 2007, and now May 14, 2007 worldwide with the North American release the day after. The first single, "What I've Done", was released on April 2, 2007, and debuted at number one on the U.S. Modern Rock chart.
Well, I know I'm a little late to the party and I am sure you already know about the upcoming release of Kelly Rowland's second studio album, "Ms. Kelly", but I have only just heard her first single from the album, Like This (Ft: Eve), and I have to say I am lovin' it. So very different from what I heard of her first album release.

I grabbed Katharines album as soon as it hit the shelves and fell instantly in love with a very dance, beat popping track called "Open Toes" and I have just learned that it's going to be her second single. I stumbled across a new track by the band Kaiser Chiefs. I have never heard of these guys before but while I was watching television their song appeared in a promo of the Aussie soap "Home & Away" I downloaded the track and fell head over heals. I don't know much about the band but this single is fantastic.
